Digital Marketing · Scotland

Digital marketing in Scotland, planned around your numbers.

Most marketing plans fail on arithmetic, not creativity. I start with what a customer is worth, what you can afford to pay for one, and where the current bottleneck actually sits — then spend the budget there. Based in Glasgow, working with businesses in Edinburgh and across Scotland.

FAQ

Common questions.

How much should a Scottish SME spend on digital marketing?+

Work backwards from your numbers rather than an industry percentage: what a customer is worth, what share of that margin you can spend to win one, and how many you need. That produces a budget you can defend.

Should I start with SEO or Google Ads?+

If you need enquiries this month, high-intent paid search. If you can invest for compounding returns, SEO. Most businesses eventually run both, using paid search data to decide which organic pages to build.

How long before I see results?+

Paid search can produce enquiries within days. Website and conversion improvements often show quickly because they affect traffic you already have. SEO usually takes several months on competitive commercial terms.

Do you work with Edinburgh businesses?+

Yes. Glasgow and Edinburgh behave as distinct markets and are treated as such — separate pages, separate local signals, and meetings in person where it helps.

Can you help businesses elsewhere in Scotland?+

Yes — Aberdeen, Dundee, Stirling, Inverness and Ayrshire clients are supported remotely, which makes no practical difference to SEO, paid search or development work.

Do I need a new website first?+

Not always. Many sites need structural, speed and conversion fixes rather than replacement. A rebuild is only warranted when the platform genuinely prevents the pages, performance or tracking you need.

What do you report on?+

Qualified enquiries by channel and landing page, non-brand organic growth, cost per acquisition where paid is running, and local actions such as calls and direction requests — not raw session counts.
